The
Boston Skyline is
a view of the city of Boston from the Charles River, with the sailboats
that populate this waterway
during
the summer prominent in the foreground. A print of The Boston
Skyline was selected for a set decoration by Leonard Nimoy,
Director of Touchstone Studios' film, "The Good Mother".
However, Sandy Martin's opportunity to show her painting to millions
of moviegoers was never realized. The scene with her painting wound
up "on the cutting room floor". The original watercolor
now hangs in the Wolfeboro, New Hampshire home of David and Christy
Bowers.
The
picture to the left is an electronic copy of one of the 500 limited
edition prints that were made from the original watercolor. The
size of the prints is 22.5" x 17.3". Each of these high
quality prints is signed by the artist. The Boston Skyline
is available only as unmatted, unframed prints.
